The Innovuze Race: From Deadlines to Finish Lines

The Innovuze Race 2026: 13 Years of Pushing Limits Together

For 13 years, Innovuze Solutions Incorporated has continued to grow through innovation, collaboration, and the determination of the people behind every successful project. To celebrate this milestone, the team stepped away from the usual office and work-from-home routine, meetings, and screens for a day filled with adventure, teamwork, and unforgettable moments during our 13th Anniversary and Team Building Activity held at Coconut Bay last May 12, 2026.
Just like the adrenaline-filled Amazing Race, this year’s Innovuze Race tested not only our physical endurance, but also our critical minds, determination, and ability to stay synchronized under pressure. Every challenge pushed teams to think decisively, strategize wisely, move faster, and keep going despite the obstacles. And just like the 13 years we’ve shared as a company, we crossed the finish line stronger, wiser, and more prepared for the challenges ahead.
The Starting Line: High Energy & Team Spirit

The day officially opened with an inspiring message from our General Manager, Mr. Lionel Amarado, who set a grounded, thoughtful tone for the entire event. He reminded us that our true strength as a company lies in our humility and our continuous willingness to grow side by side. Grounding us in the core values that keep our company strong, he shared:
“We have an amazing team, we’re not perfect, but we continue improving, learning, supporting, and moving forward together…”
These words perfectly captured the spirit of the day—a reminder that whether we are navigating tight deadlines at work or racing across a field, we do it best when we help one another. With that inspiring mindset locked in, it was time to shift gears and get the blood pumping!

We jumped straight into a chaotic, fast-paced round of "Bring Me," followed by a high-energy Zumba session led by the Early Bird participants together with our OJTs. Their enthusiasm immediately brought life to the venue as everyone joined in, danced along, and prepared for the exciting challenges ahead.

More than just a warm-up, the session created a fun and welcoming atmosphere that helped participants loosen up, connect with teammates, and start the Amazing Race with high energy and positive vibes.
From laughter-filled dance moves to synchronized routines, the opening activity set the tone for a day centered on teamwork, camaraderie, and celebration.

The Main Event: The Ultimate 5-Station Gauntlet
Inspired by The Amazing Race, teams had to navigate five grueling (but hilarious) stations that tested everything from physical coordination to mental sharpness:
Station 1: The Giant Skis (The Balancing Act)
Teams of 4 participants stepped onto giant wooden skis with rope handles, working together to move in unison across the course. The goal seemed simple—move from point A to point B. But as the teams quickly found out, if one person surged ahead while another held back, the whole line collapsed into a tangled heap of laughter. It required a shared rhythm and someone shouting, "Left! Right! Left!" to keep the team moving as one.

Station 2: Cups Challenge (The Steady Hand)
Here, the frantic pace had to grind to a sudden, disciplined halt. Using a tricky rubber-band-and-string contraption, teams had to move and stack cups without using their hands. The air grew tense as teams held their breath; one shaky hand or rushed movement could send the entire tower crashing down. It was a masterclass in staying calm and precise, even when the clock was ticking down.

Station 3: Puzzle Game (Tangrams)
From physical coordination, the race shifted to pure brainpower. Teams crowded around tables covered in scattered, mismatched geometric shapes. The mission? Piece them together to form five perfect silhouettes. Shadows of frustration turned into bursts of cheering as teammates collaborated, turned pieces upside down, and looked at the problems from entirely new angles until the final scattered shapes clicked into place.

Station 4: Trivia Challenge (The Brain Trust)
This wasn't your typical general knowledge quiz; it was a deeply personal battle of wits where the answers were the very people standing right next to them. Teams were given rapid-fire clues and scrambled letters to decipher, forcing them to quickly recall facts about their fellow coworkers. The real challenge was the clock—there was no time to second-guess. Teams had to huddle up, piecing together the letters to spell out their colleagues' names in a split second, proving just how well the Innovuze family truly knows one another.

Station 5: Passing Balls (The Final Hurdle)
This relay channelled the fast-paced energy of a pickleball game, requiring teammates to work in pairs. Moving in perfect sync, each duo had to carefully tap the ball back and forth with their paddles, keeping it airborne as they shuffled down the course. Every pop of the paddle required a delicate touch—too soft and the ball would hit the ground, too hard and it would fly out of bounds. Once they navigated the path, they had to control the ball just long enough to drop it safely into the team bucket at the end. The pressure mounted with every round, because in this final sprint, the team that successfully collected the most balls in their bucket would take home the ultimate victory.

Strategic Play: Indoor Challenges
The competition didn't stop out on the field. As the heat of the sun grew intense, the race shifted indoors, pushing us to trade our physical speed for pure strategy. We put our critical-thinking mindsets to the test with two unique mental showdowns that required precision, sharp focus, and rapid-fire problem-solving:
Building the Bridge: Teams were handed a sparse pile of simple materials—cardboard and drinking straws—and tasked with a high-stakes engineering mission: design a structure that could hold a cup filled with heavy marbles for as long as possible. The room grew quiet as teammates huddled together, meticulously bending straws and layering cardboard to maximize their structural strength. When the time came for the ultimate test, everyone held their breath as the weight was applied to the cup. It was a fascinating display of physics and teamwork; some designs buckled under the pressure, while others held firm, serving as a perfect real-world metaphor for the robust, reliable digital structures we architect for our clients every single day.

The Word Problem (Logic in Motion): This challenge took mental math and turned it into a live-action puzzle. Each team member was given a card featuring a printed number hung around their neck by a piece of string. As complex math equations and word problems were called out over the microphone, teams had to solve the problem on the fly. But knowing the answer wasn't enough—the team members holding the corresponding digits had to sprint to the front and physically arrange themselves in the exact sequence to "display" the correct answer before the clock ran out. It was a chaotic, brilliant race against time that proved data is only valuable when the team coordinates its strengths to find the right results.

Fueling Up: The Candy Hunt and Lunch
Before we could eat, there was one more high-stakes challenge: Candy Hunting. This wasn't just for a sugar rush—the teams' scores determined the sequence of the lunch lane!

The Blue Team showed incredible hustle, finding the most candy and earning the first spot in the lunch line, the Red Team secured the second spot, leaving the Yellow Team to round out the lineup in third. It was a well-deserved feast as the team gathered to refuel and share stories from the morning's races.

More Than Just a Race: A Celebration of Our People
Beyond the games, the event was a heartfelt celebration of the Innovuze family. We took a moment to honor the foundations of our community:
Mother’s Day Tribute: A special moment to honor the incredible moms on our team with gifts of appreciation.

OJT Awarding: We officially recognized the contributions and growth of our hard-working OJTs with a certificate ceremony and an inspiring message from Kuya Jun.

Birthday Bash: The festivities included a celebratory cake and gifts for those marking their birthdays this month.

The Raffle: Anticipation filled the room as we drew the names for our raffle prizes. The energy reached a peak during the grand draw, where Mark Fernandez walked away with a new microwave and Franklin Pacquiao took home the air fryer as our grand prize winners! One lucky participant, Clyde Valcorza, also won a Staycation Package at CDO Urban Haven at Mesaverte, a cozy condo unit with swimming pool access that is awarded as a “Guest Favorite” destination in AirBNB. Other prizes like Smartwatch, Mechanical Keyboard, Portable Grill, Grocery Gift Pack, and Cash Prizes were also given away.

The Podium: Celebrating the Winners
With all the scores tallied and the final points calculated, everyone gathered around for the moment of truth. The competition had been incredibly tight, but as the final leaderboard was unveiled, the triumphs spoke for themselves.

While every single participant pushed their physical and mental limits, it was the unstoppable Red Team, proudly running under the banner of Team Lightning Red McFloat, who ultimately took home the gold! Their exceptional coordination, rapid-fire problem solving, and pure speed throughout the day proved unmatched.
Hot on their heels was Team The Fast and The Curious Blue, who locked in a stellar second-place finish, followed closely by the Team Yellow Flash-back, rounding out the podium in third place.
Winning this race was about far more than just simple bragging rights. The victorious members of Team Lightning Red McFloat proudly walked away with a well-deserved cash prize and a limited-edition Innovuze cap—a unique, exclusive souvenir to perfectly mark 13 incredible years of pushing limits together. A massive congratulations to our champions and to all the teams for putting on an unforgettable show!

Reaching the Finish Line
As the sun began its descent over Coconut Bay, painting the sky in breathtaking shades of fiery orange and soft gold, the official event drew to a close. It was a tranquil, spectacular backdrop to wrap up a day born out of high energy and intense competition. The event formally concluded with an inspiring closing message from Jessa and heartfelt final remarks from Sir Frank.

Before unlocking the rest of the afternoon, we gathered one last time against this picturesque view for a Closing Group Photo, capturing the radiant smiles and deep camaraderie that defined our 13th anniversary.

With the official duties wrapped up, the best part of the day began—pure relaxation. With plenty of daylight left, the team eagerly turned their focus to bonding, catching up, and enjoying the beautiful resort view. Teammates, along with the loved ones who joined us, headed out to the pool and beachfront for a refreshing swimming session. Whether swimming, chatting under the shade, or taking in the scenery, it was the perfect way to unwind together.

As day turned to dusk, the fun didn't stop, while many others stayed late to conquer the microphone and enjoy karaoke—the perfect unofficial "after-party" to end an unforgettable day of hard work and celebration. This anniversary beautifully reminded us that while the journey may come with unexpected challenges, reaching the finish line is always more rewarding when achieved as one big Innovuze family.
Here’s to more milestones, more breakthroughs, and more adventures ahead!
