A Bright Day of Teamwork and Transitions: Highlights from Our 2nd MANCOM Meeting at MesaVerte
Jun 12, 2025
On a bright, sunny day, our second MANCOM meeting took place at the serene MesaVerte, a venue known for its lush gardens and quiet charm. The natural light and poolside view provided a calm, inviting setting that fostered both relaxation and productive collaboration.

We kicked off the day with energy and laughter as Sir Frank led an icebreaker activity — a game of Jenga with a thoughtful twist. Each wooden block had a number linked to a reflective question. From “What inspires you?” to “What advice would you give to your younger self?” and even “What would be your last meal?” — the activity encouraged everyone to pause and share a part of themselves. It was a fun and meaningful way to foster open communication.
After the icebreaker, we transitioned into the heart of the meeting — team updates. Most departments shared their latest achievements, milestones, and insights on ongoing projects. While the updates were informative and inspiring, a bittersweet moment followed as we acknowledged the completion of several projects, which also marked the departure of some colleagues. Their efforts and contributions were honored and deeply appreciated.
A significant part of the agenda was the post-evaluation of our recent team building, facilitated by Ma’am Blair. She shared feedback gathered from the team, highlighting how much everyone appreciated the natural setting, surrounded by trees, fresh air, and cascading waterfalls. The experience left a strong and positive impact, offering not just fun but also a refreshing break from the usual work routine. Looking ahead, Ma’am Blair gave us a glimpse of the next team-building event, promising a thoughtfully planned experience centered on fun, inclusivity, and meaningful connection. And congratulations to Sir Mark on being appointed as the next Team Building Committee Head!
Another exciting highlight was the introduction of the new ISI Portal, presented by Sir Emmanuel and Sir Mark. Their demo showcased the app’s features and its potential to support our teams moving forward. The presentation sparked considerable interest and enthusiasm for what was to come.
Of course, no gathering is complete without great food. Lunch was a definite highlight, with a delicious spread featuring the much-loved lechon. The shared meal offered everyone a chance to relax, mingle across teams, and simply enjoy the moment.
With time left to unwind and reconnect, team members bonded over card games, Nintendo Switch matches, and casual conversations. It was a joyful opportunity to de-stress, interact with colleagues, and celebrate both individual and collective progress.
The 2nd MANCOM meeting was more than just updates — it was a day of connection, growth, and appreciation. Here’s to more shared moments and even stronger collaboration as we move forward.
