Women Techmakers Cagayan de Oro celebrated the 2023 International Women's Month by hosting the annual WTM #IWD2023 event. International Women's Day (IWD) is a global event that promotes gender equality and celebrates the achievements of women. The 2023 Women Techmakers (WTM) Cagayan de Oro (CDO) event was held on March 25, 2023, at 9:00 AM and featured four inspiring speakers: Alaiza Geene Salcedo, Freilla Mae Espinola, Jazmine Calma, and Estella Bravo.

Alaiza Geene Salcedo spoke about the importance of daring to make a career change and development. She encouraged the audience to step out of their comfort zones and take risks to pursue their dreams. Freilla Mae Espinola discussed building a relationship with change in tech, emphasizing the need to adapt and stay relevant in a constantly evolving industry. Jazmine Calma shared her personal account of skill-building and community building as she climbed the Google Cloud ladder. Lastly, Estella Bravo led an interactive session and round-table community mixer, promoting networking and community-building among the attendees.

The event was held at the DICT Region 10 Office on T. Chavez Street in Cagayan de Oro City. Innovuze Solutions, Inc. was one of the community partners of the event.

The Women Techmakers event is an opportunity to create connections, educate and inspire the tech community, and promote gender equality.
