What you will do:

• Install and configure software and hardware devices and other IT equipment (printers, scanners, routers, wireless access points, etc.).

• Learn monitoring, maintaining and securing computer systems and networks.

• Conducting inventory of IT-related assets (PCs, workstations, peripherals, network equipment, software licenses, etc.).

• Troubleshooting system and network problems and diagnosing and solving hardware or software faults.

• Build an internal wiki with technical documentation, manuals and IT policies.

• Develop expertise in new technologies.

• Testing and evaluating new tools and/or technologies.

• Assist in day-to-day activities required by the IT Department.

• Learning about CyberSecurity

• Learning about Disaster Recovery

• Learning about Customer Service and Communication
  

What you are:

• Graduating students of BS Information Technology, BS Computer Science, or from any technical course (preferably computer technology, repair and maintenance; or any relevant course or experience).

• Should be able to handle basic and routine IT Support tasks.

• Knowledge in computer hardware and software management and maintenance.

• Knowledge in PC troubleshooting and repair.

• Knows how to use proper tools.

• Knows how to use the internet

• Knowledge in networking, internet protocols and devices.

Responsibilities:

• Tool Setup: Create accounts and learn Trello, Asana, and Azure Boards; observe ticket flows and board columns.

• Board Monitoring: Check boards daily for overdue, unassigned, or blocked tasks; update logs and sync data.

• Documentation: Draft proposals, SOPs, and MOMs; refine ticket descriptions for clarity.

• Agile Support: Attend and document standups and sprint flow process, and follow up on action items.

• Backlog Cleanup: Audit tasks for duplicates or missing tags, clean labels, and report pending issues.

• Dashboards & Reports: Build task dashboards, compile data, and prepare weekly status or overview reports.

• Archiving: Organize and archive proposals, reports, MOMs, and SOPs; review closed tasks for completeness.

• Capstone Outputs: Submit a final report, presentation deck, and reflection essay summarizing your OJT experience.

• Collaboration: Provide professional updates, follow up on tasks, and maintain clear communication.

Qualifications:

• BS in Technology Communication Management, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related tech course.

• Familiar with Trello, Asana, or Azure Boards (Kanban tools) and Google Docs/Sheets.

• Basic understanding of project terms and methods (e.g., backlog, sprints).

• Can organize and track tasks effectively with attention to detail.

• Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with minimal guidance.

• Strong written communication, follows up proactively, and adapts to feedback.

• Must be willing to work on-site.

Program Details:

DevOps is a set of practices that combines software development (Dev) and IT operations (Ops), including quality engineering and security. It aims to shorten the systems development life cycle and to coordinate and collaborate to provide continuous delivery with high software quality.

The DevOps SysAdmins’ tasks and responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:

• Implement continuous integration, delivery, and deployment of software

• Design, enable, and deliver scalable and automated strategy – Infrastructure as a code.

• Managing Open stack infrastructure as code using Terraform or other similar technology

• Create solutions for DevOps development and deployment paradigms.

• Developing and implementing software features using Agile Methodology

• Maintain, enhance, and support CI/CD pipelines, tools, platforms, and processes

• Advocate for and improve the developer experience

• Manage cloud and on-premises infrastructure (including on-premises VMs)

• Responsible for supporting the users of the infrastructure they develop, and the first line of defense with protecting the local and cloud-based systems against hackers, viruses, and other cybersecurity threats.

DevOps Systems Administrators are expected to:

• Know how to determine and design the infrastructure for balanced workloads, and scale as needed

• Lead and supervise the deployment and maintenance of virtual machines and container instances on the cloud infrastructure being managed

• Deploy server instances using automation as much as possible

• Monitor, modify and update the systems as needed

• establish and execute cloud operations within specifications and parameters required by development teams

• Implement cost-effective cloud-based systems that fulfill technical requirements

• Develop clear, concise, well-organized and easy-to-follow documentation of existing systems infrastructure

• Know cloud computing principles and best practices (AWS or Azure DevOps certifications are a plus)

• Enough knowledge in DevOps principles and best practices

• Know how to configure builds and debug build problems

• Know how to deploy releases to production, how to restart all the interoffice servers in the event of a power failure

The primary job responsibilities of DevOps Systems Administrators are to work in coordination with the software developers and web developers of Innovuze and their clients to deploy, secure, and manage, cloud-based server infrastructure. They are also responsible for providing technical assistance on cloud-based servers and services including how to access them and resolve operational infrastructure challenges and issues.

DevOps Systems Administrators supervise and evaluate the configuration and network security of cloud-based systems to ensure they are working correctly and are constantly updated. It is also part of their responsibility to ensure that operating systems and underlying related subsystems are monitored, managed, and upgraded.

DevOps Systems Administrators ensure that there are safe and available upgrade paths for all the systems they manage by continuously comparing, evaluating, testing, and implementing new technology stacks and integrating them into the workflow environment.

The DevOps Systems Administrators also help to develop and maintain system security strategies, policies, and procedures.
